The leafleting was part of an international day of action, with events also taking place in Sydney, Canberra, Los Angeles, London, Quito, Munster, Dusseldorf, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Warsaw to stop the OCP oil pipeline from being built from the Ecuadorean Amazon over the Andes and to the coast. If it is completed, the pipeline will DOUBLE the amount of oil that can be removed from the Amazon headwaters and this will impact on numerous national parks, nature reserves and indigenous communities.
